Research at the TGCL covers a wide array of legal topics, reflecting the complex and dynamic legal landscape of the Eastern African region. This includes but is not limited to constitutional law, human rights, environmental law, international law, and business law, all of which have significant implications for the development and governance of the region. TGCL's research seeks to address the unique legal challenges facing Eastern African nations. TGCL also hosts workshops, conferences, and seminars to foster dialogue and exchange of ideas among legal experts, policymakers, and the broader public, such as the Chilean-German-Tanzanian Legal Talk.
